Pump De Jamzz - Step Aerobics MasterClass

My last league of Step Aerobic Master Class also known as Pump De Jamzz for 2011 ended in December at Aero-Fitness Studio at Bandar Kinrara, Kuala Lumpur. My purpose was to gather qualified instructors and share my knowledge and choreography on Step Aerobics. I prefer small number of participants so that we can have ample room to move about.


We started the session at 9.30am and finished off at about 1pm







it was fun and tremendously tiring though and i hope the instructors managed to get or probably acquired some tips on choreography on step boards.




Step aerobics provides endurance training, which helps maintain the health of the cardiovascular system. The strength training component of step aerobics helps improve gait and balance. Step aerobics provides flexibility training that enhances joint movements. Step aerobics has a positive impact on mental health as well. Since the workout is fun and enjoyable, it can help release stress.




I tried to breakdown the choreography as simple as possible in order for them to follow but unfortunately this is a first time for some of them. They tried their level best.




Step aerobic is not as popular as the normal aerobics because most of the instructors are not well train on step board and they find it rather tiring compared to normal aerobics.








From my personal view, i find that most of the local instructors do not know how to do a choreography on step board, this is where i come in! To me, step aerobic is interesting and challenging and is one of the best ways to tone up your lower body and burn em' calories effectively. As intense as the workout can be, you can also manage it to suit your needs. Add as many steps as you want to make it more intense or simply use the board portion to make it a minimal effort. There are different ways to adapt the routine to suit your needs. Step aerobics is suitable for all ages, very minimal cost (i invested on my stepboard almost ten years ago and it is still in a good condition) and requires only a small space

Pump De Jamzz - Fit 2 Fun Studio

Pump De Jamzz siri kedua telah saya adakan di Fit 2 Fun Studio in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan



Yeyyyy..... Ina BERANI datang....syabas Ina, ramai kawan kawan awak tak seberani awak. Awak telah datang dan menimba ilmu sebagai seorang instruktur.




Saya harap kawan kawan semua dapat sebanyak sedikit ilmu yang kita kongsi bersama. Jangan serik yea...

Pump De Jamzz - MAM Studio

I did my first of three series of Step Aerobic Master Class with fellow instructors on the 22nd October 2011 at MAM Studio, Batu Caves, Selangor. My heartiest thank you to the three participants who came all the way from Perak. (you know who you are - adek adek sexy)



It was also nice to see a couple of friends who dared themselves to join this class that was meant for instructors. Kudos to Suzana and Dr Sherry for having the guts to join us!







Although the participants are small in number, they sure did make a big impact on the workout that i choreographed.




What i like most is that they get to know each other and got along very well although some of them have never met before.

I had a great time with a great crowd. I hope we can do this again sometimes.

Kickboxing on the Step Board?

I dont know what got into me today. Ive been doing step board workouts for ages and i have experimented on almost all type of choreography on the step board. I was looking for a motivating routine today and suddenly Kick Boxing came to mind. Ive tried it once years ago and maybe i could do it again today.




The members at Fit&Fun studio were all dressed up in army outfits for today's session. It would be fun to do something out of the ordinary. With music 125-128bpm i choreographed Kick Boxing on Step Board! It was a great combination of boxing, martial arts and aerobics blended together to produce an impact cardiovascular workout.




The workout was fun and enjoyable and especially challenging for these hardcore fitness buffs





To me kickboxing is a great stress buster. One can eliminate all their stress, anger and frustration through their kicks and punches without the fear of hurting anyone




Step aerobics on the other hand is not only a great cardiovascular workout but also a great way to improve on one's endurance, gait and balance





Both workouts Kickboxing and Step Aerobics enhances one's flexibility and joint movements







I consider my experiment a success in view of the members response and their ability to work out.





Everyone was punching and kicking their calories out! and the best part of it all...they are doing it on the step board. It takes a good balance to do the combination and i have to say these ladies really did a great job!

Pink Fun At Fit 2 Fun!!!

I always look forward to Wednesday nights. I do step aerobic workouts every wednesday at Fit 2 Fun Studio at Taman Tasik, Seremban. I have been with this studio since i first came to stay in Seremban and that was about 6 years ago. Oh my!! Time does flies... its been SIX YEARS already?? My God.... Ooo Fied... i never realised this before. I am practically seeing you growing up!!

The members of Fit 2 Fun Studio really suits the name of the studio. They are a bunch of Fit and Fun people to be with

Some of the members have been with me for quite sometime and they can read my every move




Ive seen members come and go for the past six years but some of them are fitness buffs who never fail to attend the workouts




what i like most about the members of Fit 2 Fun, they are really fun to be with and always willing to participate in whatever activities the studio organises.





For this particular wednesday, everyone turn up with a pink and black theme, they are a sport!




I hope to be a part of Fit 2 Fun for as long as they need me and i know i always 'ponteng' classes due to my tight schedule. Thank you to the members and owners for understanding my predicament





A happy and fun bunch of people with full of energy



Thank you Fied and Intan for having to endure the ups and downs of the studio and still going strong after all these years. Thank you to all the members of Fit 2 Fun and walk in customers for your enthusiasm and energy. You people never failed to amaze me.
