Be My Valentine?

Valentine's Day reminded me of the heart. Did you know that your heart is the size of your fist
and is the strongest muscle in the human body? You can feel your pulse by placing two fingers
at the pulse point on your neck (carotid artery), at your temporal and at your wrist (radial). The
pulse you feel is blood stopping and starting as it moves through the arteries. An average adult
pulse rate is 72 beats per minute. The heart pumps about 1 million barrels of blood during an
average lifetime. Our body has about 5.6 liters of blood which circulates the body three times
every minute! In one day the blood travels a total of 19,000km. Smoking, unhealthy diets and
stress will eventually damage our heart. Heart disease and stroke is the world's number one
killer. Well friends, lets start taking care of our hearts, enjoy living our very best and grow old
gracefully...
